Moranis surprised by Grammy nomination

NEW YORK Most fans know Rick Moranis as the shorter half of Bob and Doug McKenzie, or the dad who "Shrunk the Kids" in the Disney movies, or Dark Helmet from the film "Spaceballs," or Seymour from the movie "Little Shop of Horrors." But Moranis is also a 2005 Grammy nominee, for his independent album "The Agoraphobic Cowboy."
Moranis notes that he's nominated in the comedy category, not the country category. His country-flavored album of original songs is up against spoken-word C-Ds by Lewis Black, Chris Rock, Larry The Cable Guy, and the album "Family Guy Live In Vegas," by various artists.

And here's the tidbit that'll win you the bar bet: this is not Moranis' first Grammy nomination. He was first named back in 1982, as half of Bob and Doug McKenzie, again in the comedy category -- and lost to Richard Pryor.
